Postcards of Days Gone By

This is my postcard collection which started with cards my parents gave to me dating from the early 1900s. There are cards from all around the world, some beautiful sights, many places have changed considerably thoughout the years. They say every picutre tells a story, I believe that postcards do more than that, they are a historic record of our past which are packed full of memories for those who sent and those who received them, and maybe for those who view them. I hope you enjoy them.

Concarneau, France
I posted this card on 13th October 1980 after arriving on the Sail Training Schooner the Sir Winston Churchill, the voyage there taking 5 days from Dartmouth! If anyone out there was on the Winston Churchill at the same time it would be great if you could get in touch, maybe share your memories of the rough seas and how one of the Officers lost part of his finger, happy days :)
