Well it is near the end of my stock of postcards. I have enjoyed creating this site, seeing some of the cards has brought back long lost memories, some fond and some sad. It makes me wonder whatever happened to my youth, those days seems so long ago now, memories of time gone by, carefree days when you were young, free and single, high hopes for the future, not knowing where life would take you...
I hope that everyone who has viewed this site has also taken some pleasure in my postings. Every picture tells a story and so do postcards, some of these contained happy messages from people on holiday writing back home, some to friends in place of a letter, others from the early 1900s contain one or two sad messages, love that has been lost etc.
Many of those who sent these cards are long dead, so in some way this a kind of tribute to them, also to relatives in the Isle of Man and England, and friends as far away as New Zealand, the world has become such a small place, its great that memories can live on.
Lets hope that postcards dont become a thing of the past as they are such a great way of recording history and keeping in touch with loved ones.
To everyone out there, thanks for looking at my site, I hope you enjoyed it.
